Steeleye Span
Still led by folk rock legend Maddy Prior, Steeleye Span changed the face of folk music forever by taking it into the world of gold discs and international tours.
Formed in 1969 by popular London folk club duo Maddy Prior and the late Tim Hart with Fairport Convention bass player Ashley Hutchings, who left afet four albums for The Albion Band.
The band were part of the 1970s British folk revival, and were commercially successful in that period, with four Top 40 albums and two hit singles: "Gaudete" and "All Around My Hat".
The current line-up includes Maddy Prior and long-time drummer Liam Genockey who joined in 1989.
