The Big Salsa Dance with Graziano Di Prima

Join Graziano Di Prima and friends for a salsa lesson world record attempt while raising funds for Child Bereavement UK.

TV dancing sensation Graziano Di Prima is calling for dancers of all abilities to join him for a once in a lifetime experience at Manchester’s AO Arena. On Friday 16 February 2024, Graziano and friends will be hosting the Big Salsa Dance in an attempt to break the world record for the largest number of people taking part in a salsa dance lesson.

Graziano and and his wife Giada will be leading a 30-minute salsa dance lesson culminating in a three-minute performance. For the lesson you’ll need to have a partner, this could be someone you know, or someone in your dance section. If you’re on your own don’t worry, we’ll find you a dance partner and after the lesson the whole arena will then simultaneously perform a three-minute salsa dance. This will be the first time that 2,000 people have performed this in the UK!

The event, kindly supported by Hurst Dance Studios, includes entertainment from surprise guests and the chance to practise your salsa and Latin moves to a fantastic live band. And one lucky person will win the opportunity for a private meet and greet with Graziano, Giada and friends.

If you don’t want to join the record attempt, you can still join in as a spectator before being invited down to the floor to enjoy the entertainment and live music.

Participants in the record attempt will receive a participation certificate after the event.
