The Soup Dragons
Scotland's Soup Dragons hit the mainstream with their reggae-infused cover of The Rolling Stones' "I'm Free," which reached UK no.5 in 1990 and "Divine Thing", a Top 40 hit in the United States in 1992.
Their schizophrenic collection of hard rock, funk, and harmony-laden pop showcased the group's love of melody and willingness to experiment within the modern rock genre, fusing comfortably into the rock-dance crossover sounds of the Madchester-era.
After disbanding in 1995, the orginal line-up reunited in 2023.
