Tom Hickox

The son of late leading composer Richard Hickox, acclaimed singer-songwriter Tom Hickox rose to recognition with his 2014 debut album War, Peace and Diplomacy, which was followed in 2017 by the acclaimed Monsters In The Deep, lauded by the likes of The Sunday Times ("literate chamber pop at its most haunting, poetic and complex"), MOJO ("this one's a keeper," 4-stars) and Louder Than War ("An album that absorbs and achieves").
Spanning both contemporary classical and indie rock, he has performed on Later with Jools Holland and his song 'The Lisbon Maru' was featured in the documentary, The Sinking of the Lisbon Maru, which China selected as its representative at the 97th Academy Awards in the best international feature film category.
His songs. Good Night, and The Pretty Pride of Russia, were both used in Dr Martens commercials, which inspired the opening segment of Rihanna and Calvin Harris' video for We Found Love, which also featured model Agnyess Deyn.
After a four-year hiatus he returns with a rich tapestry of human narratives, brought to life with grand ambition and intricate detail.
His celebrated storytelling is elevated with a cinematic sweep of songs brimming with drama and poignancy; his gift for unearthing and reimagining stories from a wide range of sources blossoms with each song revealing a universal truth that resonates long after the final note has rung out
