Under + Binge + Pocketknife

An evening of heavy and experimental Mancunian sounds.

UNDER are a trio from Stockport, Greater Manchester. Though rooted in the blueprints of Sludge and Doom Metal, their sound is harder to pin down with elements of Prog, Noise and Avant Garde creeping in. Under play with jagged, slow, off kilter riffs that tease the listener into a false sense of security with dark and abstract lyricism evoking a trippy and sinister unease. The trio cite the likes of Swans, Mr. Bungle, Melvins and Radiohead as prime influences.

Hailing from Manchester, BINGE is an instrumental math/noise rock duo known for their chaotic and high-energy sound. The balaclava-clad pair, consisting of Rob Sewell (Niskala) on guitar and drummer Mark Heron (Oceansize, Kong), have quickly gained a reputation for their intense live performances and their ability to create a wall of sound with just two instruments. Formed in 2018, Binge have played across the UK with the likes of Lightning Bolt, Melt Banana, 72% and Colossal Squid, and appeared at festivals including ArcTanGent and Kendal Calling.

Originating from Welsh and Mancunian lands, POCKETKNIFE are a melodic post-punk duo known for their dynamic style. They draw inspiration from influential bands like Biffy Clyro, PJ Harvey, QOTSA, and Dinosaur Jr. Previously, they supported acts such as Lightning Bolt, The Joy Formidable, Melt-Banana and Twin Atlantic. After a long pause from the scene, they are now back making new music and can’t wait to see you up front at their next show.
