With first-hand interviews and a rich mixture of media, Inventing the Runway reveals how fashion shows became the ultimate statement of a designer’s vision – at times, a walking expression of their identity – reimagined season after season. It’s a celebration of the imagination, discipline and passion that has revolutionised how we experience fashion.
Inventing the Runway uses original animation for an experience that is both visceral and insightful – brought to life by the incredible Lightroom technology behind David Hockney: Bigger & Closer (not smaller & further away). Immersive sound design and a score fusing classical and pop music, evoke the world of fashion and the moments when iconic shows shifted the cultural landscape.
