Especially suitable for ages 4-10 but loved by all ages, Way Back When is a show written by Jacqui Livingston about history and sharing memories.
A playful storytelling performance and workshop for families, created by Blue Elephant Theatre, which weaves together African and Caribbean folklore and factual history to celebrate the efforts of previous generations, finding inspiration for today.
It’s been a very long time since Grandma came to the Motherland from Jamaica, but some memories never fade. Today she is sharing them.
From cricket to carnival, she recalls her Caribbean childhood and journey to England with all her belongings in her “grip”.
Join us for vibrant storytelling, traditional games, and lots of audience interaction in this journey through time.
