Book NowLow Availability Led by writer and editor Natalie Beech (Channel 4 Writing for Television Award, 2022, editor Flourish Magazine), this workshop explores how using your own experiences or the real experiences of others in your writing can be powerful, authentic and cathartic. No one can tell your story like you can, and some of the best stories of our time have come from a writer?s personal experience. But how do we fictionalise our own lives, make sure our stories are entertaining, whilst keeping our authenticity and voice?This workshop will explore using real-life experiences as source material and how to protect our wellbeing through self-care in the process. Open to all abilities and backgrounds. About the ArtistNatalie is a freelance scriptwriter, editor and arts marketer based in Manchester.In 2022 she won the Channel 4 Writing for Television Award and went on to work with Rollem Productions to develop an original TV pilot. She was chosen for the LOOP Audio Fund to develop a new audio drama with Free Turn and Screen Yorkshire and also selected for the BFI Script Lab 2023.She was shortlisted for BBC Writersroom 2023 and recently won the Women X Film Festival 2024 Script Competition and was selected for the 2024 Warner Brothers Discovery Access Northern Writers Programme., to develop new work with Wall to Wall North, Warner Brothers and the Royal Exchange Theatre over six months.
