What's On at the Royal Albert Hall, London

The Royal Albert Hall was opened by Queen Victoria herself in 1871 and named after her beloved husband. The venue, located in South Kensington, has a seating capacity of 5272. The venue has been home to the BBC Proms every summer since they began in 1941.

The Royal Albert Hall hosts concerts, events, productions and events ranging from classical, opera, pop, rock, comedy, dance, live orchestra film screenings, sports, awards, charity and national events, including the Festival Of Remembrance, The Olivier Awards, Cirque du Soleil, and The Royal Variety Show. Premieres include 101 Dalmatians, James Bond, and the Harry Potter series.

The Royal Albert Hall was a meeting place for The Suffragettes. Albert Einstein, Winston Churchill, and Charles de Gaulle made speeches there.
