WHAT'S ON AT THEATRE ROYAL HAYMARKET, LONDON
The Theatre Royal Haymarket is the third oldest London playhouse still in use, dating back to 1720! This Grade I listed building has a seating capacity of 860 and was the first venue to have a scheduled matinee performance! The buildings were all rebuilt in the 1820s and became the site of the theatre we know today.
Theatre Royal Haymarket boasts a wide range of productions including musicals, modern and classic plays, Shakespeare, and attracts the most notable performers from around the world, including the likes of Maggie Smith, Judi Dench, Julie Walters, Patrick Stewart, Ruthie Henshall, Ralph Fiennes, Ian McKellen, and Simon Callow to name just a few.
In 1998, Theatre Royal Haymarket founded Masterclass, a charity designed to offer creative opportunity to young people trying to find their way into the industry.
