Alkinoos Ioannidis
Greek Cypriot composer Alkinoos Ioannidis (Αλκίνοος Ιωαννίδης) is famed for his politically-inspired Cypriot folk songs.
Joining him on stage will be four Cypriot musicians, new companions who bring a different approach to the songs through the sounds of strings and percussion.
With a diversity of arrangements, the program is distinguished by moments of great intensity and emotion, but also by the joy of this encounter, the communication between the musicians themselves and with the audience, the freedom of improvisation, and the coexistence of different musical worlds.
