Awaaz Community Exhibition & Closing Event

Come along to our final Awaaz event of 2025. We have collated some beautiful images showcasing South Asian History in Bolton for you all to enjoy. There will be speakers and food and plenty of time to network and connect with others. We will also be taking some time to evaluate our first Awaaz South Asian Arts programme at the Octagon and look forward to hearing reflections and ideas for next year.?The theme for South Asian Heritage Month this year was "Roots to Routes". The month celebrated the cultures, histories, and contributions of people from South Asia and their enduring connections to the UK. The theme focused on the journeys and experiences that have shaped South Asian identities across generations, encouraging reflection on heritage, growth, and resilience. The Octagon has worked in partnership with the Sunnyside Club and Bolton Asian migration, to collate images, stories and memories from Bolton's South Asian Communities to share in our new community exhibition. Come along and see beautiful images and hear the stories behind them.
