Cavetown began life as a YouTube channel from Oxford teenager Robin Skinner, who attracted a healthy following by covering songs from the likes of Justin Bieber, twenty one pilots and The Libertines on his ukelele and sharing them online.
Skinner's own indie folk material proved just as popular, gaining more widespread attention with its fleshed out arrangements and melodic, confessional pop, leading to over 2 million subscribers on YouTube alone.
