Emma Rawicz

Multi-award-winning British saxophonist and composer Emma Rawicz emerged on the international stage to critical acclaim with her first release on the prestigious ACT label at just 21.

A former student at Chetham's School of Music, and the Royal Academy of Music, the Devon-born jazz saxophonist won Jazz Newcomer of the Year at the Parliamentary Jazz Awards 2022.

Since then, she has appeared on many of Europe's leading stages and festivals, including Ronnie Scott's, Cadogan Hall, the Berlin Philharmonic, Transition Festival, Burghausen Jazz Festival and Love Supreme, establishing herself as one of the leading artists of her generation.

The youngest-ever Artist in Residence at Cambridge Jazz Festival, Emma has received numerous awards and nominations and was selected as a BBC New Generation Artist from September 2024 for two years.

With over 70 performances across 16 countries in the past year alone, she is rapidly becoming one of the most sought-after performers on the scene.

Her music is distinctive and engaging, combining endlessly melodic writing, infectious grooves and thrilling interplay with her all-star band, alongside a virtuosity and saxophone sound that range from lyrical ballads to fiery odd-time grooves.
