Welcome to the 2026 season of Sunday Coffee Concerts at Spring Bank Arts. We?re delighted to welcome back many familiar faces and bring you a varied repertoire of concerts including some lesser-known works by English and Czech composers alongside the great Romantic composers Brahms and Dvo??k. First up on March 8th is a wonderful programme of works for string ensemble. Vaughan Williams wrote his Phantasy Quintet in 1912 for a composition award. It highlights his love of both Renaissance English music and folk music. Coupled with this piece is the great string sextet opus 36 by Brahms - a work full of longing, melancholy and joy in which he enshrines the name of one of his great loves, Agathe, in musical notation. Performed by Caroline Pether & Rosemary Attree - Violins Alistair Vennart & Raymond Lester - Violas Nicholas Trygstad & Dale Culliford - Cellos Fresh Coffee & delicious cakes served at 11am - included in the ticket price. Concert starts at 11:30am. Tickets can be purchased for each concert or as a season ticket for all three at a discounted rate of ?46.
