Myles Sanko
Described by Rolling Stone Magazine as "One of the great talents of vibrant European Soul", British soul and jazz singer Myles Sanko was born in Accra, Ghana.
Steeped in both Ghanaian and French heritage, his music embodies a rich tapestry of culture, passion, and unyielding resilience.
His musical journey is one of evolution, from singing and rapping alongside DJs in nightclubs in his hometown of Cambridge and busking on the city's streets, he has gone to have a recording career that has seen him collaborate with an array of iconic artists, from Gregory Porter, Martha High and China Moses, to Ben l'Oncle Soul, Nicola Conte and Grammy Award-winning conductor Gast Waltzing.
While his earlier work had a modern pop-soul vibrancy, his later work is characterised by thought-provoking lyrics and beautiful jazz textures which has seen MOJO magazine praise his "distinctive style that blends impassioned soul sermonizing with cool jazz sophistication." - MOJO magazine
"Great sound with a modern twist, we’re going to hear a lot more of this guy" - Jazz FM
"One of the freshest talents in the UK; he truly has an outstanding voice" - BBC Radio 6.
