Novelty Island

Surrealist, analogue pop workshop, Novelty Island is the creative vehicle of Liverpool-based songwriter/producer, Tom McConnell. His childhood was spent playing, dissecting and composing songs between Liverpool and Newcastle Upon-Tyne. In 2018 he made the ultimate pilgrimage from his native north to study at Abbey Road Institute. Inspired by Paul McCartney, Boards of Canada, The Beach Boys and Vic Reeves, Novelty Island was born in the basement of Abbey Road Studios; in touching distance of the mythical tape vaults.
