Puressence + The Chameleons
Two of Manchester's most iconic bands on one night for Sounds of the City.
After reuniting for their first live date in over 11 years with a sold out show at the Albert Hall in June 2024, Puressence are back with their biggest show yet.
James Mudriczki, Kevin Matthews, Lowell Killen, and Anthony Szuminski all hail from Failsworth, and it’s been nearly 35 years since they formed Puressence in North Manchester and they’re still refining, still expanding.
Popular in Greece, they scored minor UK Top 40 hits in 1998 with "This Feeling" and "All I Want", followed in 2002 with "Walking Dead".
After celebrating their 40th anniversary in style, legendary underground Manchester band Chameleons return. The Middleton-formed band serve-up a career spanning set.
Helmed from the front by long-standing custodian "Vox", previously known as Mark Burgess, the line-up also includes founding Chameleons member Reg Smithies who returns to the frame to add his definitive guitar stylistics to proceedings.
