The Cribs
Described by Q magazine as "The biggest cult band in the UK", the Cribs are three brothers from Wakefield, Yorkshire, who marry literate lyrics to nagging hooks and layers of droning, buzzing and stinging guitars.
The Smiths' legendary guitarist Johnny Marr described them as a combination of the Buzzcocks and Johnny Thunders, before becoming a full-time member of the band for their 2009 Ignore the Ignorant album, which reached the UK Top 10; an achievement matched by their next three albums.
