Self-assured and clear in vision, the North Wales indie-rock trio with a predilection for delivering stadium-sized riffs with shoegazey vistas and dreamy post-punk riffage, create music that is clearly carefully-crafted in a way that ignites conversation and inspires change, headed up by tenacious lead-singer and guitarist Ritzy.

Taking a cue from bands like Yeah Yeah Yeahs, My Bloody Valentine, and Arcade Fire, the trio have continued to push their expansive sound, whilst always maintaining their hook-driven indie rock foundation.

The Joy Formidable have never been one to shy away from a challenge. Proving that time and again by holding their own as support for legendary artists and acts from Sir Paul McCartney to The Foo Fighters and The Black Keys. Once described by Rolling Stone as "wickedly bracing and Himalaya-huge;" the band are fantastic live.
