In Conversation with DAVID HUNTER discussing 13 Going On 30 The Musical in Manchester

We chatted to David Hunter (who plays Matt, one of the main characters) about the world premiere, 13 Going On 30 The Musical at the Opera House, Manchester.
13 Going On 30 – The Musical is a totally grown up new musical comedy based on the hit 2004 film that starred Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo, and it’s coming to Manchester Opera House for its World Premiere next year!
Jenna Rink is an adorably awkward 13 year-old girl who wishes she could skip over the misery of High School. When her birthday wish comes true, Jenna magically wakes up as an adult to find herself “thirty, flirty and thriving” as the editor of a fashion magazine with a seemingly perfect life. But as she gradually unravels the mystery of what kind of person she has become, she goes on a journey to work out what — and who — really matters.
Don’t miss this hilarious and inspiring new musical about the choices we make, the friends we choose and the beauty of never losing your sparkle. The story you love — now with incredible original songs — 13 Going On 30 – The Musical is a feel-great reminder that being yourself never gets old.
Lucie Jones (Waitress, Les Misérables, Wicked) plays the lead role of Jenna Rink, joined by West End stars, David Hunter (Kinky Boots, Waitress and Once) in the role of Matt Flamhaff and Grace Mouat (Mean Girls, Six The Musical, & Juliet)) as Lucy Wyman.
