EXCLUSIVE OFFER - Bacchae at Lowry - £10 tickets

Lowry, Salford Fri 20 - Sat 21 November 2026 Offer valid for all seats for Saturday shows, no fees

Based on the original thrilling new production of Bacchae by Nima Taleghani originally directed by Indhu Rubasingham at the Olivier Theatre. This exciting new version of Euripides’ ultimate tragedy comes to life through rhythm, movement and music, directed by Hannah Hauer-King.

The Bacchae aren’t standing on the sidelines whilst the men have all the fun. These fangirls may be a pack, but they’re not animals... they are stage-storming powerhouses ready to cause chaos in Thebes.

Whilst the Bacchae maraud in the mountains, their god Dionysos is taking part in his own dysfunctional family Olympics. He’s here to bring down his cousin King Pentheus. All to prove to the chorus of women that he’s more than just the god of rhyme, wine and a good time.

Alongside its public performances, Bacchae will also visit secondary schools across the country as part of the National Theatre's Touring for Schools programme, bringing this powerful production to young audiences nationwide.

National Theatre are a Lowry Partner Company.
