The story begins when playboy Bob Merrick wrecks his speed boat, and the rescue team resuscitates him with equipment that's therefore unavailable to aid a local hero, Dr. Wayne Phillips. When Merrick discovers the tragedy, he sets out to put things right ? but falls in love with Phillips? widow along the way.
