Queer Tales For Autistic Folk - Storytelling Workshop

Queer Tales For Autistic Folk - Storytelling Workshop
This workshop accompanies comedian Cerys Bradley?s show Queer Tales For Autistic Folk, which can be seen at The Met on Wednesday 27 May at 7pm.Workshop activity is a relaxed, 30 minute version of the exciting game play within the show, led by Cerys Bradley, where participants choose different pathways within a scripted fictional world. The game is based on getting up and getting to work in a morning, then ultimately leading to a fantasy world where anything can happen! There is then a 15 minute break followed by a 1 hour Choose Your Own Story creative writing and making workshop. The Choose Your Own Story style helps to imagine the daily realities and experiences of others and of ourselves. The workshop includes a 15 minute presentation, explaining different Choose Your Own Story structures and how to get started. Then participants have half an hour to make their own story and we have 15 minutes of sharing what we?ve made! The workshop explores the theme of collaboration and audience participation. Supporting participants towards a creative output that represents their own experience.Cerys?s mission is to develop more inclusive audience participation practice for the neurodiverse community, radically reimagining what it means for performers to work with audiences to create a unique and inclusive comedy experience.
