Seth Lakeman
Multi award-winning folk singer Seth Lakeman was raised and still lives on Dartmoor, within sight of the sea at Plymouth, from where the Puritans sailed on the Mayflower in 1620.
The Mercury Prize nominated singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, who is most often associated with the fiddle and tenor guitar, but has also mastered the viola and banjo, relentlessly pushes his musical boundaries and those of folk and roots music, with his albums even reaching the UK Top 10 charts.
A popular solo artist he also frequently tours as a duo or within a trio alongside Benji Kirkpatrick from Bellowhead, and has belonged to several musical ensembles, including one with his two brothers, fellow folk musicians Sam Lakeman and Sean Lakeman.
