The Weather Station
The critically acclaimed Canadian folk band, fronted by Toronto actress and songwriter Tamara Hope (nee Lindeman), with her gentle, conversational, intoning voice, deliver jagged music, with stabbing strings, saxophone, and several layers of percussion.
Emerging out of Toronto's vibrant folk scene, Lindeman offers a moody, introspective sound; sensuous, ravishing, breaking into pure pop at moments, at others a dense wilderness of notes; deeply rhythmic and even expanding into rock-oriented territory.
